Health and safety training provider Engaging Safety Ltd has received two certificates from the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce 2019 for their work in raising health and safety awareness with schools.

The company was awarded the Bronze and Silver Social Value Awards 2019 for their work in April with Lyndhurst Primary School in Oldham, working alongside the school’s development programme to teach year three children about food and kitchen safety.

The children made shortbread before engaging with a quiz on safety in the kitchen, whilst a health and safety poster contest was held for all pupils in the school.

A trophy was presented to the winning design, which was chosen by a student committee.

Managing Director Beverley Wrigley said: “I really enjoyed working with the children. It was great fun over a couple of days.

“It’s lovely to work with the community and help make a difference.”

Engaging Safety Ltd provides courses in Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, IOSH Working safely, IOSH Managing safely, National Water Hygiene (‘blue card’), EUSR Utility SHEA (Water) Passport (CSCS affiliated) and EUSR SHEA (Core) Passport (CSCS affiliated).
