An opticians in Rochdale raised over £230 for Children in Need after hosting an in-store family fun day.
The team from Specsavers Rochdale on Yorkshire Street wore bright colours, Pudsey Bear ears, sweatshirts and t-shirts on Friday 18 November all in a bid to raise vital funds for Children in Need, which will be used to help children all over the UK thrive and be the best they can be.
Children took part in a Pudsey Bear themed colouring competition, whilst adults entered a raffle to win prizes ranging from Portatili pizza and Mr Magic donuts to Rochdale AFC tickets and a BMW RC assembly model kit, all kindly donated by local businesses and customers, plus a pair of prescription glasses or sunglasses donated by the store.
‘We’ve been overwhelmed by the generosity of our customers and local businesses especially during such challenging times. We’re delighted to be playing a small part in raising funds for Children in Need, which will ultimately help children and young people flourish," said Sarah Culshaw, store director at Specsavers Rochdale.
