Business networking event held at Vinesteins

Date published: 20 June 2023

A new free business networking event has been launched at Vinesteins wine bar on The Walk in Rochdale town centre.

The first event was held on Wednesday 14 June with around 16 attendees from a variety of business sectors, including marketing, first aid training, catering, locksmith, ironmongery, building supplies, decorating supplies, recycling, and security services.

The event was co-hosted by Sam Hopley, director of Wallpaperbase, after he struggled to find similar free networking events, and his nephew, Austin Hopley, who runs Vinesteins.

Sam said: “I’ve been struggling to find free business networking events in Rochdale, so I decided to host my own for any local businesses to join.

“My nephew, Austin, owns and runs Vinesteins so we decided to team up and co-host the evening.

“We received a good turnout with businesses from various sectors. Vinesteins also put on free snacks for everyone to enjoy. We’re hosting another next month.

“People can just turn up, no booking necessary, and they can come at any time during the two hours and stay for as long or little as they like.”

The next networking event will take place at Vinesteins from 6-8pm on Wednesday 12 July.
