AST Hampsons merges Yorkshire Street office with South Parade branch

Date published: 05 July 2023

Rochdale law firm AST Hampsons has merged its Yorkshire Street office with its South Parade branch – whilst expanding its Bury branch.

The firm says it decided to consolidate resources and expertise into one central Rochdale-based location so it could “optimise efficiency and communication, and can better serve its growing client base.”

Hampsons says this was “the natural time for the firm to also consider potential internal improvements in order to accommodate more of the team under one roof.”

The team are said to be “delighted to come together under one roof, as it will enable a better coordination, knowledge sharing, and foster even stronger relationships with clients.”

One of the feature buildings on South Parade, AST Hampson’s office has undergone improvement works to its shop front and has been part of the firm since 1865, seeing five generations of the Taylor family working there.

"We are pleased to announce the merger of our Yorkshire Street office with our South Parade office and can be contacted there," said Peter Taylor, who is the fourth generation of solicitors in the Taylor family and consulting partner at AST Hampsons.

"This decision reflects our commitment to growth, innovation, and exceptional client service.

“By uniting our Rochdale teams under one roof, and expanding our Bury office space, we aim to further strengthen our capabilities and provide an enhanced experience for our valued clients."

The commercial and corporate team will now be operating mainly from the South Parade office, whilst the litigation and accounts teams have moved into the expanded Bury office space.
