Local firm Barnes Logistics, which operates in the logistics and supply chain industry, has triumphed at the national Supply Chain Excellence Awards held in London.

The company, which is based in Rochdale, but operates across the country, took home the Workforce Planning Award, a testament to its commitment to innovation, efficiency, and excellence in building a solid team of drivers and workers within the logistics sector.

The annual Supply Chain Excellence Awards recognises organisations that demonstrate outstanding achievements and advancements in logistics and transport. Barnes stood out amongst a competitive field and won after showcasing its dedication to strategic workforce planning that has significantly contributed to the company's success and industry leadership.

This is a noteworthy achievement for the company, which started up in Oldham in 2005 before moving to Rochdale and has since grown to expand across the UK.

Chris Barnes, CEO of Barnes Logistics, said: "We are all so thrilled to be recognised with the Supply Chain Excellence Award. It is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team. We were delighted to dedicate the award to our drivers, who work extremely hard to keep our operation running smoothly.”

Barnes is one of the UK’s leading providers of logistical support and warehousing to a nationwide client base. The company operates from more than seven sites across the country, with over 80 vehicles in its fleet, and owns and operates over 100,000sq ft of warehousing.
