Marks and Spencer refurbishment complete

Date published: 03 March 2014

The refurbishment of the Marks and Spencer store on Yorkshire Street in Rochdale town centre is complete and a grand opening is planned for 9.00am Friday 7 March. The Mayoress will be attending to cut the ribbon with staff member Megan Hargreaves, who has 40 years service.

There will be a Bucks Fizz and nibbles reception and M&S will be giving away a fantastic food hamper to one lucky customer and boxes of chocolates to runners up. Raffle tickets will be given out to the first customers who attend the ribbon cutting from 9.00am.

There will also be a style pod to showcase some of Marks & Spencer's best products.

The store has new signage and windows, fitting rooms, flooring, display kit on foods and general merchandise, ordering desks and new IPads.

There are over 150 new lines on foods and the store has taken on 14 more staff.
