Kleen Strike Director Laura Heywood with Councillor Colin Lambert
Leader of Rochdale Council, Councillor Colin Lambert paid a visit to Kleen Strike last week.
Councillor Lambert visited the premises to see first hand the printer cartridge re-manufacturing operation and to witness the low carbon advantages that can be gained by using locally produced toner cartridges.
Also during his visit, the company demonstrated and discussed with Councillor Lambert the sustainable measures put in place to be more resource efficient.
Staff at Kleen Stirke also spoke to Councillor Lambert about encouraging Rochdale Council to consider sustainability as well as lowest price when implementing future tenders.
Kleen Stirke celebrated 30 years in business last summer and won a Rochdale Business Award for Environmental Business in November.
The company also recently relocated to Regent Street into newly built premises after moving from the Dunlop Cotton Mill at Royle Barn Road, which they occupied for 27 years before it was demolished.
