Safety accreditation for SPC Fabrications

Date published: 21 August 2014

Rochdale based business, SPC Fabrications, has been awarded accreditation from Safecontractor for its commitment to achieving excellence in health and safety.

Safecontractor is a leading third party accreditation scheme which recognises high standards in health and safety management amongst UK contractors.

SPC Fabrications is a family owned business, headed up by Shaun Clancy, who started the business back in 1989. His son, Darren Clancy, joined the business in 2011 to assist with strategy and growth.

Darren said: “We operate in a specialised sector and employ skilled staff who work to the highest specifications. Health and safety, both on site at Littleborough and on clients’ premises, is a top priority and continuously monitored and evaluated through toolbox talks and ongoing training. The accreditation is a recognition of our commitment and high standards.”

Under the Safecontractor scheme, businesses undergo a vetting process which examines health and safety procedures and their track record for safe practice.
