Job losses as Chubb Fire closes at Stakehill Industrial Park

Chubb Fire, a leading provider of security and fire safety solutions for businesses and industry nationwide, is to close its operations at Stakehill Industrial Park in Middleton from today (Friday 19 December).
It is understood that the Thomas Glover Portable Fire Equipment Refilling and Refurbishing facility is closing following a 45 day consultation period with the loss of 24 jobs.
A spokesperson for Chubb Fire said: “Chubb has confirmed the consolidation of its Stakehill and Hams Hall operations. Chubb’s extinguisher renovation and recycling activities will be co-located at its existing Hams Hall facility in Birmingham. Chubb is committed to ensuring continued superior and uninterrupted service to its customers.”
