Rochdale Online Business Exhibition

Date published: 23 September 2015

The Rochdale Online Business Exhibition, now in its fifth year, saw 66 local businesses display and demonstrate their services to members of the public, as well as providing opportunities for business-to-business networking.

Sue Marcroft, from Good Companions, said: “ It has been great for networking opportunities. We wanted to come along because it is a local event and we are investing in Rochdale.”

Carl Roach, from the Lighthouse Project ,said: “We have spoken to a lot of interesting people and it has given us the opportunity to network with businesses and see if there is anything they can do for us. It is unusual for us to be amongst businesses rather than community groups, but it has been good to see if there are any new opportunities for us. It has been really busy as well.”

David Harris, from Target Fire, said: “It has been very good and we have managed to speak to a lot of people. I often find with things like this that they are quite costly, but this event is very reasonably priced.”

Adele Hoolahan, from Link4Life, said: “It has been great to chat to people and network with businesses. We have managed to speak to a variety of people so that has been good.”

Mayor Surinder Biant, Heywood and Middleton MP Liz McInnes and local councillors praised the event.

Mayor of Rochdale, Councillor Surinder Biant said: “This has been a very, very interesting event. I think it is very important to show off what Rochdale has and it is great to see so many Rochdale businesses here. It is an excellent event that really shows what Rochdale has to offer.”

Liz McInnes said: “I have had a really interesting few hours and think that this is a good opportunity for local businesses to come together and demonstrate what they do. It is a really good event.”

Leader of the Council, Councillor Richard Farnell said: “Congratulations to Rochdale Online for hosting yet another successful exhibition. It is great to see so many local businesses here showing off what they do. There are lots of people and lots of stands here. This is another great event.”
