Obituary: Dennis Whitehead

Dennis Whitehead died peacefully in Prestbury House Care Home in Macclesfield on Friday 15 February 2019.
Dennis was very involved in Rotary for many, many years, he joined Middleton Rotary in February 1979 and served as Club Secretary from 1981 – 1985 and was Club President in 1989/1990.
Friends from Middleton Rotary said: "Dennis thoroughly enjoyed the Rotary Club meetings and friendship.
"He also was very involved in many of the fundraisers, running the public speaking contests and the Santa's sleigh around Middleton.
"He was involved in the youth exchange programmes from abroad, as he hosted many students at his home; and a paramedic from Australia in a job switch venture."
The funeral will take place on Monday 11 March at 2.00pm at St Michael's and All Angels C of E Church, Market Place, Macclesfield, SK10 1HG, followed by committal at Macclesfield Crematorium at 3.20pm, Prestbury Road, Macclesfield, SK10 3BU.
Donations are to Parkinson's UK. Family flowers only.
