Sunny Saturday sees return of ever-popular Rochdale Artisan Market

Date published: 06 July 2022

What do sun, summer and Saturday all have in common? This weekend’s return of the Rochdale Artisan Market, of course!

Whether you’re seeking something different from the mundane, wish to buy local and support small businesses, or if you care about the food you’re eating, the Artisan Market has something for everyone with 20 confirmed market stalls.

Soy wax melts

Discover an exceptional variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, the freshest meat from a local farm butcher, delicious handmade preserves and sweets plus delectable sweet and savoury treats from highly-skilled artisans.

Alternatively, indulge in a spot of luxurious pampering with handmade botanical soaps, bath, body and skincare products, all lovingly made in small batches using skin-loving natural oils and butters.

You can even pick up beautiful handcrafted gifts to treasure for a lifetime, such as decorative glassware, highly scented soy wax melts and home fragrance products, colourful pompoms, plus wooden giftware and furniture or bespoke silver jewellery.

Reedy's Naturally preserves

Paul Ambrose, BID manager, says this weekend's market is not to be missed, adding: "The Artisan Market is proving to be hugely popular and it is a chance to showcase and support creative local businesses.

"The market is helping to entice new visitors to the town centre and it helps to create a vibrant atmosphere. With a growing offer, it really does have something for everyone.”

Make this Saturday a day of it with the sunny weather and the Artisan Market in your diary – or face missing out on the best of the north west!

The Artisan Market will be located at Riverside from 10am-4pm, Saturday 9 July, and will return on the second Saturday of each month up to – and including – December.
