Vote for Colin the Crab and help Newhey Community School win a trip to Sealife Manchester

Date published: 19 April 2018

A pupil from Newhey Community School needs your help to win a trip for her class.

Key 103’s breakfast show is holding a contest to name one of the giant crabs at Sea Life Manchester in the Trafford Centre.

Of the three names put forward, ‘Colin the Crab’ has been suggested by a pupil at Newhey Primary School. The other names proffered are Sir Pinch A Lot and Leonardo Da Pinchi.

Her mum, Nicki Kate Kelly, said: “My daughter entered a competition with Key103 to win a trip for all of class four at Newhey Community School. She has made it to the final but needs votes so if you nice people could cast your vote for "Colin the Crab" via the link below, it would be fantastic. My daughter only started in September and has been welcomed with open arms, so this would be a fab thank you on our behalf.”

The two entrants whose names receive the most votes will each receive up to 35 tickets for a school class or group to visit Sea Life Manchester and see the Giant Japanese Spider Crabs.

Each of the show’s breakfast presenters has chosen their favourite name for the crab: the one who receives the least amount of votes will be given a fishy forfeit.

Voting closes on Sunday 22 April 2018 at 23.59. The winners will be voted for by the general public and revealed on Wednesday 25 April 2018.
