Student passes test-drive at RRG Peugeot

Date published: 21 July 2018

A student at Hopwood Hall College, went one better than just a ‘test drive’ when he turned his work experience placement into a full time job.

With a desire to build a career in the business and accounts field, Bradley Taylor, , from Middleton, secured a work experience placement at RRG Peugeot in Oldham through Hopwood Hall College after passing an initial interview round.

Only a few weeks into his placement, so impressed were Bradley’s bosses, the budding businessman was offered a full time role as a business accounts assistant.

Bradley said: “I’ve been so happy with my start at RRG. The atmosphere has been great and I have felt really welcome in the work place, I’ve already learned so much.

“I think it is important other students in the local area try and gain work experience before expecting to jump straight into a job. It gave me a chance to try the workplace out before getting a full time job and it gave RRG the chance to see if I fit into their business as well. It’s beneficial for everybody.

“I didn’t expect to get a job so soon, but RRG’s offer has made me really proud and I just hope I can give a lot back to the team.”
