The Middleton May Day celebrations today (Monday 2 May), started with St Michael's Church Band playing in the bandstand in Jubilee Park, followed by the annual parade led by Saddleworth Morris Men to Saint Leonard's Square.
Saddleworth Morris led the entrainment in the square followed by Middleton Popstars Academy, Langley Theatre Workshop and Middleton Brass.
There was also a children’s fun fair, food charity stalls, and face painter.
Adam Torevell, from Middleton Town Centre Management, said: “Local groups and dancers have all come together for this annual Middleton event.
“The weather could have been better, but with the sun coming out later in the afternoon we had a great day.”
Liz McInnes, MP for Middleton, along with local councillors supported the event.
