Date published: 25 May 2016
Winners of Rochdale Sixth Form College's first Maths Challenge are St. Cuthbert's RC High School
St Cuthbert’s RC High School beat schools from across the borough to win the Rochdale Sixth Form College Maths Challenge Trophy.
Maths students from St Cuthberts RC High School, Matthew Moss High School, Kingsway Park High School, Hollingworth Academy and Beech House School were put through their paces during the competition - and the standard was very high.
After three grueling rounds, St Cuthbert’s RC High School came out on top and were given the Maths Challenge Trophy, engraved with their winning title to keep for a year until the next Maths Challenge. Each participant received a medal and certificate from the college.
Rochdale Sixth Form College Assistant Principal, Heather Ellison, said: “Congratulations to the St Cuthbert’s team who gave an impressive performance and well done to all who participated.”
