Littleborough was buzzing on Saturday (11 June) for the second Littleborough Food & Drink Festival as hundreds of people descended on the village centre.

There was a range of food stalls in the square serving up delicious wild boar burgers, pasta, meatballs, pizza and more for people to enjoy on the seating area outside The Wheatsheaf.

The food trail saw over 30 shops playing host to tasters from local food producers and restaurants.

Littleborough Deli's Andy McKay, Graham Sherwin from The Green Door and Marc Rothwell from The White House each cooked up a series a delicious dishes in the demonstration kitchen.

The Jaeger Maestros and Wardle Junior Blast provided musical entertainment, plus there was free face painting and glitter tattoos.

The event was organised by Littleborough Events & Associations Forum (LEAF) in conjunction with local businesses.

Simon France, LEAF Secretary,  said: "There was a tremendous atmosphere in Littleborough with lots of families coming down to sample a huge range of food and drink.

"The cooking demos were fantastic and really showcased the skills of our local chefs."

Rebekah Gumbley said: "A lovely couple of hours at the Food and Drink Festival. Such a fab atmosphere, smiley, friendly people, great music, wafts (and tastes) of delicious food, it really was a pleasure to be amongst it all."

Tabitha Mellor added: "It was fantastic to see so many people having fun. Last year was good but this year was amazing."

Steven Warrington commented: "We had a great time. My 10-year-old son loved the cookery demonstrations so much that he's now booked in on his first cookery course. Thank you."
