Police are hunting two thugs who subjected an elderly lady to a terrifying ordeal when they smashed her front door through and demanded her money.
The 84-year-old woman was left frightened and shaken up after the two males kicked holes in the door and demanded they be let into the property in Milnrow.
The distressed woman made an emergency call to the police and the thugs ran away, making off in a car which was parked outside.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed that they are appealing for witnesses or information which may lead them to their suspects - the incident happened at 9.40pm on Saturday (9 July).
Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
