Kitchen fire on Derwent Road

A kitchen fire at a semi-detached property on Derwent Road, Middleton, was attended by fire engines from Blackley, Heywood and Chadderton on Friday (22 July).
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue service said: “We received the call at 7.06am and the crew were there for approximately 30 minutes.
“Two breathing apparatus, a hose reel and a positive pressure ventilation fan were used to bring the fire under control.”
