Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre shoppers evacuated into Yorkshire Street
The Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre was evacuated this morning (27 July).
Shoppers were evacuated into Yorkshire Street and Baillie Street at 9.30am as alarms sounded.
Security staff manning the doors said they didn’t know the reason for the evacuation, but a spokesperson for The Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre confirmed that it was a drill and that there was nothing to worry about.
The shops re-opened and everything was back to normal by 10.00am.
