Man with a knife on Lower Falinge Flats

Police were called to an incident on Pershore, Lower Falinge flats in Rochdale, at 7.40pm last night (Monday 22 August).
Residents reported a large police presence on Falinge and police advising people to stay indoors, with the Tactical Aid Unit in attendance.
A police spokesperson said: “We were called at 7.40pm to Pershore, Lower Falinge flats to an incident of a 40-year-old man with a knife shouting threats.
“There were no injuries to the public, the man was taken to hospital.”
