Shopmobility receives donation from Mayor's charity

Date published: 22 September 2016

Former Mayor and Mayoress Councillors Surinder and Cecile Biant presented a cheque for £7,000 to Shopmobility manager, Michelle Hollinrake.

The money will help to keep Rochdale Shopmobility viable in continuing to provide such an invaluable service to its members.

The charity opened in September 1993 and provides members with mobility scooters and wheelchairs to access town centre facilities, receives funding from charitable grant providers, from fees paid by its members and fundraising activities.

The charity is always looking for new members and volunteers.
