Little Pink Borough Standing Up To Cancer
The Three Amigos Fundraising Group are painting Littleborough pink for their 10th anniversary in October to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.
From 1 October, as part of Cancer Awareness Month, shops and businesses across Littleborough will be dressing their window displays in pink. Yankee Candle have provided pink bunting, which will be hung across Hare Hill Road.
This year will be the very first Little ‘Pink’ Borough event, which coincides with Channel 4’s Stand Up To Cancer campaign on 21 October.
A trophy will be available for the best window, and raffle tickets are available to win prizes throughout the month.
Kath and Andy O’Donnell (plus their Yorkshire Terrier, Oscar) make up The Three Amigos, who began raising money for Cancer Research after Andy received treatment for testicular cancer.
Over the past decade, The Three Amigos have raised £75,000 to fight cancer.
