EP launch for Ellysse Mason

Date published: 04 October 2016

Ellysse Mason launched her second EP, Sage, at Gullivers in Manchester’s Northern Quarter on Saturday (1 October).

Met by a large crowd, the singer-songwriter described the experience as “absolutely amazing”. She said: “I was nervous at first, it was the first time playing with a full band, I was worrying nobody would show up, but then I was up there and I had the time of my life.

“To say that at the beginning of the year I was singing songs in my bedroom, having my own EP launch was a massive achievement.

“I’m thinking of doing a little tour, to get my music out to other cities and see where that takes me. I haven’t planned anything yet, but I’d like to go to London, Bristol, Liverpool, Sheffield, Birmingham and Leeds.

“I’ll also be focusing on releasing singles in the near future.”

Ellysse hasn’t decided on the next single, as she has written several new songs recently, but thinks she may release fan-favourite, ‘Liberty’.

She said: “Liberty gets requested a lot in the open mic scene, and a few people have said it’s a favourite of the songs I’ve written.

“To see people who like my music singing along is such a good feeling.”
