Santa Dash and Dawdle promising to be a Christmas Cracker

Date published: 14 October 2016

Santas will be back and raring to go at this year’s Springhill Hospice Santa Dash or Dawdle on Sunday 11 December.

Last year a record 616 Santas, along with their four legged friends, dashed, dawdled, ambled, strolled and giggled their way around Hollingworth Lake on this 5km festive event raising over £18,000.

Lillie Winterbottom, Springhill Hospice’s Fundraising Manager said: “Last year the people of the Borough pulled out all the stops and created a fantastic morning. We had families, individuals, teams and even whole companies getting involved with Team PDS signing up over 70 Santas.

"Entries have already started to flood in and it’s set to be another wonderful year. We’re keeping our fingers crossed for a scattering of snow to accompany the Santas and the carols being played by Wardle Community Band to give the event that traditional Christmas feel.”

If you want to get involved, you can now register online at www.springhill.org.uk/santadash-2016 or pick up an application form from any of the charity shops, Springhill’s Tea Rooms, the Hospice itself or contact fundraising on 01706 641790 lillie.winterbottom@nhs.net
