Changes to Metrolink services this weekend

Metrolink works this weekend mean changes to Bury and Rochdale via Oldham line services.

On Saturday and Sunday 29 and 30 October a replacement bus service will run on the Bury line and a limited service on the Rochdale via Oldham line, while no trams will call at Victoria, Shudehill and Market Street stops.

Saturday 29 October


Trams running: 

  • Altrincham to Piccadilly
  • Altrincham to Etihad Campus
  • East Didsbury to Piccadilly
  • East Didsbury to Deansgate-Castlefield
  • Eccles to Ashton via MediaCityUK
  • Manchester Airport to Firswood (03:00-06:00)
  • Manchester Airport to Cornbrook
  • Rochdale Town Centre to Monsall
  • Shaw and Crompton to Monsall

Replacement buses: 

  • Bury to Piccadilly calling at all stops except Market Street
  • Central Park to Piccadilly calling at all stops except Market Street

Sunday 30 October

Trams running: 

  • Altrincham to Piccadilly
  • East Didsbury to Piccadilly
  • Eccles to Ashton via MediaCityUK
  • Manchester Airport to Firswood (03:00-07:00)
  • Manchester Airport to Cornbrook
  • Rochdale Town Centre to Monsall 

Replacement buses: 

  • Bury to Piccadilly calling at all stops except Market Street
  • Central Park to Piccadilly calling at all stops except Market Street 

A spokesperson said: "Customers should purchase tickets for replacement bus services from on stop machines before boarding, or via the get me there app (for Apple and Android devices).

"Metrolink apologises for any inconvenience caused by these essential works."
