Cemetery Hotel voted one of Britain’s cosiest pubs
The Cemetery Hotel on Bury Road has been listed one of the top 50 cosiest pubs in Britain by The Telegraph.
Landlady Amanda Chay said: “I can’t believe the Cemetery is in The Telegraph for being one of Britain’s top 50 cosiest pubs. It’s nice we get recognised sometimes.”
The Telegraph wrote: “It doesn’t sound like the most romantic of spots, but this immaculately preserved pub is a cheerful and welcoming place. The lovely interior, with mosaic floor and Art Nouveau tiling, is under the protection of English Heritage and cosiness abounds – a sign says: ‘Please feel free to throw a log on the fire’.”
