Pennines Township awarded six Britain In Bloom Awards

Pennines Township has been awarded six 'Britain In Bloom - North West 'It's Your Neighbourhood Awards 2016'.

The judging for this year's awards took place earlier this summer and the results have just been released.

Councillor Ann Stott, JP said: “It was a great start to the three-day event for the Pennines Township as it was awarded six awards in this category.

Thriving Awards were given to:

  • Watergrove Reservoir
  • Wardle Village Square & Green
  • Littleborough
  • Milnrow Memorial Park

Outstanding Awards were given to: 

  • Hare Hill Park, Littleborough
  • Ladybarn Bowling Club, Milnrow

Councillor Stott added: “Pennines In Bloom, the driving force, behind the entries for the awards, aided by the Friends of Hare Hill and Milnrow Parks, were delighted by the excellent start, and hope for more later in the week.”
