LEAF sponsors Littleborough Junior Football Team

Date published: 27 October 2016

Littleborough Events & Associations Forum and Littleborough Juniors Football Club Under 10s Yellow are working together with a sponsorship arrangement to benefit all the community.

LEAF, as part of its aim to support and encourage recreational activities in Littleborough, has sponsored new jackets for the young football players.

In return parents from the team have agreed to give their time as volunteer stewards at popular LEAF events such the Christmas Lights Switch On and Rushbearing Festival.

Neela Jackson, LEAF volunteer, said "We hope this will make more people aware of LEAF and encourage more groups and members of the community to become involved in LEAF activities."

"We are so pleased to have the parents from the team volunteering to help at our events. They bring a whole new set of skills and experience which will ensure our popular and well attended events continue to run successfully for the benefit of all the community."

LEAF Treasurer, Normal Brundell added "It was a pleasure and a privilege to see the youngsters' delight at their new strip. It makes our efforts all worthwhile."

LEAF is a voluntary group of people from the local community and is always looking for new members to help support their activities and volunteer at local events.

The next event is the Christmas Lights Switch-on on 3 December.
