The planning application for the development of houses on land off New Road
The planning application for the development of 110 houses on land off New Road, Littleborough is due to be heard by the Planning & Licensing Committee on Monday 5 December.
The meeting is to be held at 6.15pm at Number One, Riverside, Smith Street, Rochdale.
Planning Officers have recommended to the Committee that planning permission is granted.
James Rothwell, spokesperson for StopRussellHomes, said: “The proposal represents a significant departure from the local development plan, and in our opinion planning officers have not provided evidence to demonstrate that the criteria to justify granting permission have been met.
"It is very important that everyone who objects to the proposed development attends the committee hearing, so that the strength of opposition to the proposals is fully recognised.”
A pre-meeting to discuss the planning committee meeting will be held at 11.00am on Saturday 3 December at the Littleborough Coach House.
