Wardleworth Community Centre Learning Club nurtures confidence

The Wardleworth Community Centre Learning Club, for children from the ages of eight to 16, attracted over 50 local children.t attracted over 50 local children’s to enrol on the course and was welcome by the parents

The aim of the club is to nurture confidence, prepare children to handle challenges at school, prepare them for life in general, respect, to prepare children to pass exams and keep up with school work, to improve their all-round academic achievements and meeting the biggest change in the exam system in general.

Centre manager Mohammed Miah, the co-ordinator of the project, said: “This initiative has benefited the children of the area immensely and the management committee has agreed to continue this project beyond September 2017 to enable our children, who are our future, to excel and become efficient leaders of the future.

“Wardleworth is one of the deprived area in Rochdale, and initiative like this will help not just the children but the schools too.”

The students registered are attending local high schools and primary schools in the catchment area. Falinge Park High School has supported the Learning Club by providing relevant text books for the classes.
