Seren Mai Taylor - first baby to be born on New Year’s Day at Royal Oldham Hospital
Date published: 10 January 2017
Charlotte Keeble and Craig Taylor, from Rochdale, became the proud parents of the first baby to be born on New Year’s Day at Royal Oldham Hospital.
Seren Mai Taylor was born weighing 6lb 14oz at 12.43 am, 13 days before her due date of 14 January. Shelby, Charlotte’s mum, was her birthing partner.
Charlotte had been in slow labour for around three weeks prior to Seren Mai’s birth with her waters breaking the day before New Year’s Eve.
The mum of four said: “My other children, Saphire, Luca and Skye, all love her. My youngest, Skye, won’t leave her alone, always putting a blanket on her and stroking her face.
“I couldn’t have asked for a better New Year’s Day; I’m absolutely over the moon to have been the first mum to have her baby girl born then.”
