Emergency services attend fire - only for it to be burnt bacon

Ollerton, Falinge
Emergency services attended Ollerton block of Falinge flats on Thursday night (12 January) to reports of a fire, after a man fell asleep and burnt some bacon.
Police, fire North West ambulance all attended the scene.
A spokesman for GMP said: “We were called at 10.10pm to a block of flats in Falinge after a fire alarm was going off.
“It turned out a man had fallen asleep and burnt his bacon.”
A spokesperson for NWAS said: “We attended the scene after reports of a fire. We sent a response vehicle.
“An ambulance wasn’t required and we didn’t take anyone to hospital.”
