Fourteen members of staff at Siddal Moor in Heywood could face losing their jobs after a 30-day consultation began on Friday 13 January.
Ray Baker, Headteacher at Siddal Moor, said: “Due to significant changes in curriculum, student needs and funding streams at Siddal Moor, we need to make some changes to the staffing structure in order to maintain the highest possible standards for our students.
“On Friday 13 Janaury we began a 30-day consultation with staff on proposed changes, which include the possibility of some posts being deleted, as well as new positions being created, with a net reduction of 14 support roles.
“These proposals are focused on raising standards in teaching, learning and achievement throughout the school, but it’s important to emphasise that no changes will be made until after the conclusion of the consultation.
“Everyone will have an opportunity to submit their feedback to governors and any staff who may be affected directly will be offered a one-to-one interview to discuss whether there are options to move to a new internal role on a similar grade.”
