Flat fire on Milnrow Road
Date published: 02 February 2017
A fire at a flat on Milnrow Road, Rochdale in the early hours of Thursday is believed to have been caused accidentally when the occupant became distracted whilst cooking.
Two fire engines from Rochdale and one fire engine from Littleborough used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel to tackle the fire and a positive pressure fan to clear smoke from the flat.
The fire brigade says people to never leave cooking unattended and always stand by your pan.
