Person taken to Rochdale Infirmary following suspected arson on Lloyd Street

One patient has been taken to Rochdale Infirmary following a fire, suspected to be arson, at a mid-terrace property on Lloyd Street, Sudden on Monday morning (20 February).
The fire is understood to have originated in a back bedroom.
Greater Manchester Police are treating the incident as arson.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “We have launched an investigation and enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with any information should contact police on 101 quoting reference number 482 of 20/02/2017.”
Fire crews conducted a search of the property and used six breathing apparatus, one jet and three hose reels to bring the blaze under control.
Five fire engines, three HARTs (Hazardous Area Response Team), one Rapid Response unit and an ambulance attended the incident.
A spokesperson for North West Ambulance said: "We were called at 9.04am and arrived on scene at 9.11am; we took one patient to Rochdale Infirmary."
