Date published: 06 March 2017

Police have recovered a car that was seen in suspicious circumstances in Wardle.

The black car made off, but was later recovered with a ‘burglar’s toolkit’ on board.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “Officers from the Pennine team, while out on patrol in Wardle, saw a vehicle that had been seen earlier in suspicious circumstances.

“The vehicle made off but was recovered a short time later with a 'burglar’s toolkit' on board.

“Please be vigilant and report anything you think is suspicious to 101 or 0161 872 5050.

“This recovery has hopefully prevented further people becoming victims.”
