Daisy Chains Nursery
Daisy Chains Nursery in Heywood is ‘Outstanding’, says Ofsted following a recent inspection.
The nursery was rated ‘Outstanding’ for:
- Effectiveness of the leadership and management.
- Quality of teaching, learning and assessment.
- Personal development, behaviour and welfare.
- Outcomes for children.
Key findings included: a very highly motivated, dedicated staff team who strive for excellence and active ways to build upon the very high standards of practice, highly independent, ‘exceptionally well-behaved’ and motivated children, a calm and inviting atmosphere, and very thorough processes in place for assessing and monitoring the progress of all children.
The glowing report adds the children spend long periods of time enthralled in challenging activities, make exceptional progress (including those who speak English as an additional language and who have special educational needs or disabilities) and ‘inspiringly learn about different cultures and religions on a regular basis’.
It notes the staff are ‘well-qualified’, ‘extremely positive, attentive and responsive’, sharing ‘a wealth of information about individual children's stages of development and assess their ability to manage change, helping provide exceptional consistency in care’.
Mum Vicky Sanders, whose children attend the Hornby Street nursery, said: "I'm overjoyed with the Ofsted grading, but to be honest, I didn't need an inspection to tell me what I already knew. The team are always outstanding and my two children couldn't be happier at Daisy Chains."
