Guide Dogs urgently need My Guide volunteers in Rochdale
Date published: 21 March 2017
My Guide, the Guide Dogs sighted guiding service, aims to help people with sight loss get out of their homes and engage with their community, rebuilding their confidence and independence.
Do you have a couple of hours spare each week to help someone with sight loss to get out and about?
To become a My Guide volunteer you’ll need to complete the following:
- Enhanced DBS
- My Guide Level one – sighted guide training
- My Guide Level two – volunteer training
- Safeguarding training
My Guide is an opportunity to gain experience supporting people who are blind or partially sighted.
If you could volunteer call Janet Harper 07780 958 873 or email janet.harper@guidedogs.org.uk for more information.
