Drake Street re-opened as ‘unsafe’ building made secure
Work to make an unsafe building on Drake Street secure has now been completed and trams are running to and from Rochdale town centre again.
Drake Street had been closed since Friday 17 March due to the empty building being at risk of falling into the road.
66 Drake Street, across from the Water Street junction, was deemed ‘unsafe’ due to a large crack in the shop façade.
