Male cyclist taken to hospital with serious injuries after collision with a lorry

A male cyclist in his 30s has been taken to Salford Royal Hospital following a collision with a lorry on Milnrow Road on Wednesday (29 March).
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “We were called at 1.22pm to reports of a collision between a cyclist and a lorry. The male cyclist has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.”
A North West Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “We were called to reports of an RTC between a cyclist and a HGV. We sent a Rapid Response vehicle and an ambulance.
“We took a male patient in his 30s to Salford Royal Hospital.”
Transport for Greater Manchester confirmed Milnrow Road was closed between Church Road and the Kingsway junction.
The road fully reopened at 2.20pm.
