Deeplish Play scheme children have fun at at Hollingworth Lake

Deeplish Play scheme took advantage of the good weather when children had a fun day out at Hollingworth Lake for a countryside walk on Thursday, 6 April.
The children walked along the lake, farms and countryside learning about plants, animals as they looked at the environment surrounding them, walking independently.
The beautiful countryside enabled children to have lots of fun playing on the wood play equipment, jumping in muddy areas whilst observing water activities, the children's enjoyment could be seen through delight on their faces.
Attiya Malik, playscheme volunteer, said, “This will help young people and children to improve health and wellbeing, physical development whilst getting ready for their educational challenges in schools.
“This was the children’s first outdoor visit to Hollingworth Lake.
“This is an excellent example of Deeplish Community Centre, working in partnership and collaboration with Link4life.”
Sohail Ahmad, from Deeplish Community, said: “We are proud to see children learning whilst enjoying themselves in an open and outdoor environment.
"Everyone was tired at the end of this visit, but enjoyed being part of local trip out.”
