St Andrew's, Dearnley Easter Services
Holy Week is an extra special one at St Andrew's, Dearnley this year because we have Bishop Mark with us all week.
He will be available for one-on-one advice, counsel or confession during periods of medication or reflection today (Thursday) and tomorrow (Good Friday).
8.00pm Thursday 13 April, Holy Week Thursday we have a service in church which takes the form of the Last Supper with optional washing of feet.
10.00pm to midnight Thursday 13 April, a Gethsemane Watch and private prayer.
11.00am Friday 14 April, Good Friday Liturgy; noon to 3.00pm, private prayer and reflection with music.
9.00am Saturday 15 April, Morning Payer.
8.00pm Saturday 15 April, lighting of the Easter Fire and Vigil, one of the most moving services in the Christian calendar.
9.30am Sunday 16 April, Easter Day Sung Eucharist. The Lord is Risen! Allelluia.
11.30am, Sunday 16 April, Easter Day Holy Baptism.
We are, of course, coming towards the end of our Interregnum with our new priest-in-charge, the Rev Rachel Battershell due to be licensed at our church on Sunday, May 7 at 3.00pm.
More information about the Rev Battershell will be announced after Easter.
