Ashley Burgwin charged with handling stolen goods
Date published: 25 April 2017
Ashley Burgwin of Smallbridge was charged with handling stolen goods on Monday (24 April).
Following a burglary on Wardle Road in March this year, police received information that some of the stolen property was for sale online.
Officers from the Pennine team acted on this, and following an arrest and subsequent enquiries, they recovered some of the stolen property and re-united it with the owner.
A spokesman from Greater Manchester Police confirmed: “Ashley Burgwin, of Smallbridge, has been charged with handling stolen goods and has been bailed to Manchester and Salford Magistrates on 10 May 2017.
“This is only possible with the co-operation of the public. Please call any information about criminality in your community to Greater Manchester Police on 101 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
