Health and Social Care Drop in Sessions at Deeplish Community Centre
Deeplish Community Centre is the setting for information and advice on health and social care matters being provided for local residents.
The first session was delivered by Health Watch community engagement manager, Elaine Grace, supported by Sohail Ahmad, Manager at Deeplish CC.
Elaine explained the role of Health Watch and how they make health and social care services better for local communities.
She said: “Seven day access is all about offering you improved access to see a doctor or nurse.”
The 'care at the chemist' scheme was explained and introduced; participants were given leaflets explaining who can register for the scheme.
Participants were also given health and social care signposting directory booklets.
There will be further information sessions at Deeplish Community Centre.
