CVSR Volunteer of the Year Awards 2017

The Volunteer of the Year Awards Ceremony took place at Rochdale Town Hall and was attended by over a 100 volunteers, guests and representatives from the organisations where they volunteer.

The awards recognise the valuable contribution made by volunteer’s in the Borough of Rochdale.

The 2017 winners: 

  • Naila Shafqut – Volunteer of the Year 2017 presented by Councillor Janet Emsley - Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods, Community & Culture
  • Roger White – Long Service and Commitment 2017 presented by Mayor Ian Duckworth  and Mayoress Christine Duckworth
  • Volunteer Driver Service – Volunteer Involving Organisation 2017 presented by Darren Grice (Link4life)
  • Michelle Hallworth – Inspiration Award 2017 presented by Mayor Ian Duckworth and Mayoress Christine Duckworth
  • Talk English Volunteers – Group of Volunteers of the Year 2017 presented by Anthony Schiavo (Rochdale Athletic Football Club)
