The 25th Annual Middfest, Middleton's biggest event, took place on Sunday (23 July) in glorious sunshine.

The star act was Stannage International Motorcycle Stunt Team, a high-octane motorcycle display team, who did a series of death-defying stunts in the special events arena.

There was also lots of family entertainment including, Mr Zippy Childrens Entertainer, fairground rides, charity stalls, facepainting, along with food stall, a dance troupe contest and a beer tent. Live music was provided from Hector’s House, Swampdog and the Puzzle Factory plus other bands and solo acts performing through afternoon.

Peter Shore, Middleton Round Table, said: “Volunteers from Middleton Round Table have spent the last 12 months preparing for the annual MiddFest event, we hope all the families have had a great day out – and the sun turned up as well.”

Councillor June West, Chairwoman of Middleton Township, said: “This is the 25th anniversary of Middfest. It’s a day I know Middleton looks forward too each year, with free entertainment, bands, the stunt bikes this year, and glorious sunshine."

The event was also supported by Liz McInnes MP, the Mayor and Mayoress Ian and Christine Duckworth, Councillor Peter Williams and Councillor Christopher Furlong.

Middleton Round Table organise the event every year, with sponsorship from Middleton Township.
