Councillor Carol Wardle giving away apples to Rochdale charities

Councillor Carol Wardle is generously giving away apples, offering local charities the first pick.
She said: “I have two trees on the farm in Heywood laden with Bramleys. I want to give them to any charity which provides meals for the homeless, or a luncheon club for the elderly. Or something along those lines.”
Rochdale group Feed the Homeless has already taken advantage of the councillor’s offer, but many more remain.
The apples are free, but you will have to pick them yourself.
If you are interested, please contact Councillor Wardle on 0161 653 6908 or 07929 293 749.
