New path in Wince Brook

The new path in Wince Brook
The path around bridge one in Wince Brook is no longer a boggy quagmire.
The path was raised by around 10cm using treated timber boards and crushed stone.
Funding was approved by councillors June West, Donna Martin and Malcolm Boriss to repair the path from Kirkway in August, following a request for funding in May.

Prior to the new path, the area around bridge one was always wet, dues to water flowing downhill from a well on the former site of Ramsden Farm. Following the demolition of the farm, after it was purchased from Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council, some of the bricks had blocked the well.
