Benjamin Pilkington charged with criminal damage

Benjamin Pilkington (11/6/98) of Town Mill Brow, Rochdale has been charged with criminal damage after appearing at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court on 17 November.

He was charged with causing criminal damage to a window in a door to the value of £60, which belonged to North Pier. The offence took place on 15 November.

Pilkington was also charged with commission of a further offence during the operational period of a suspended sentence order made by Greater Manchester Magistrates' Court on 27 September.

He pleaded guilty to both offences and for the criminal damage was sentenced to 40 hours unpaid work, and to pay compensation of £60 and victim surcharge of £85.

His suspended sentence has been extended to 15 months. It was not activated in this instance due to the offence being of a different nature.
